108 years ago, a Scottish lady, Georgiana Solomon, founded the Suid-Afrikaanse Vroufederasie. Concern about the dire circumstances and poverty in South Africa after the Second Anglo-Boer was the reason for the creation of this organisation. Today the SAFV’s services, programs and projects provide hope to about 25 thousand people in need of welfare services and support in both rural and urban South Africa.
